Nelson29,
The best thing for any serious dismantling is the BMW TIS CD's. Do a search on eBay, they are cheap enough and are a good backup for common sense! Don't be put off by BMW's plethora of special tools, you can often get by without.
I've just done a trim swap, from silver to light poplar and it's easy enough to do, and no special tools required.
Hopefully after the weekend (when I get then time) I will do a write-up on removing/refitting the door panels, as this is an operation that a lot of people seem to want to do (to replace trims) but are too concerned about airbags etc. When I did the job, I was full of good intentions of taking pictures, but the good old British weather stepped in so I had to do the job in the garage and the flash on my camera is not good!
Good luck with the Nav.

Door panel removal:
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?s=&sho...ost&p=23054
Information on central display (including a step for removal):
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=103940
Removing the entire dash is prettty complex -- are you sure you need to do that to do the TV module? The information is scattered all over the forums -- usually in reference to people changing trims...
Good luck!
