I have one silencer installed in my RPI, and the sound is great, NO drone at all, just smooth burbly sounds! It sounds SO much better than stock, still gives a boost in HP (as per Eloy), and finally lets that beautiful V8 sound out! try it, you'll love it if the sound is just a little TOO much!

I've got a Zoom Q3HD field recorder that has really good microphones, so I made a quick video on my way to the office today. IMO, you get a pretty good idea of the level of ambient noise the exhaust introduces into the cabin from this video.

BTW, none of this is pejorative towards RPI - it's a great exhaust and it sounds fantastic. I'm just not always wanting that much fantastic.

Thanks flyingpuck - I will absolutely try one silencer alone first. Did you do the drilling yourself? How did that go?

I did drill it myself, it was no big thing......remember measure twice, drill once!

I added one silencer about a week ago. The result is perfect. About 30% or 40% less exhaust noise, nearly no drone inside the cabin, still a much more aggressive than stock sound, and no perceptible decrease in power. Just what the doctor ordered!

What car do you have? It sounds great! Doesn't seem too loud. Can you make another video with the silencer on?

It was a little too loud to live with daily, IMO. My car is a 2005 545.

I'll make a video after the silencer added and post it soon. The noise level is much more livable now.
