Hi men!
I'm wondering how my 5 could be different from M5 ...
Between VW Golf-Audi A3-Seat Leon there are 60-70% of common parts .
And from a normal E60 and the M5 ?
Just curiosity ...

I can tell you that the differential is different. Did quite a bit of research on that and was not cost effective to swap in the M5 diff to my 545. Of course, someone is going to chime in with the obvious V10 versus V8 engine.

Yes, but engine is perhaps the 0.1% of the number of the parts

Is each part that is sold separately by BMW a "part"? Is every single mechanical component (e.g. the gearbox is one BMW part, but it is made of many tens of separate components) a "part"? Is a major sub-assembly (e.g. second level RealOEM list) a "part"?

Bit more than that - but it depends on what you count as a "part".

A screw, a clip ...
How many parts there are in a car ?
5k, 10k, 20k ?
Those parts, even the little .
