Well I don't see the logic in using the mud pan...its flat and doesn't guide the air. All I see is air hitting a flat surface and not being guided torwards the airbox. So to me it looks like you are actually putting less air towards the airbox using the mud pan then not having one.

Now if you really don't care about performance and you want to put it on your car for looks then why paint it black?

I think RPI is just protecting new members from thinking that they can gain HP from a simple mud pan. They have spent the time in R&D to see what the different bends in the scoop will do
Air will travel into the intake ram since the mug has only one opening (RIGHT SIDE) facing the intake ram, air will find its way out, keepin the mud deep (3" in depth) allows it to redirect the air flow into the opeing right side

Its obvious hes on RPI payroll, whatever, shows us how low RPI's gotta stoop to "protect" their product.

Anyways I had enough of this thread. People who like or want the RPI scoop, go for it! People who want to DIY the scoop go for it. Stop the flamming and bs, Praise... I dunno whats gotten into you all of a sudden, military men like you should be calm and disciplined, not immature and act like your someones bitch. (RPI)

dude nothing got into me. There is no logic in this accusations against RPI.

Its OBVIOUS he works for RPI? Come on man you are way more intelligent than that. If the kid says he doesnt, who are you to say that he is lying. I like RPI just as much as he does, by your assumptions that means I am being paid by RPI too. Thats just simple.

Please dont harp on that military thread if you are a civilian, its not right and I dont hold it against others if they havent. I choose this profession.

I just dont get how posted and proven dynos show a 5-10 whp gain and yet multiple ppl on this thread have said "oh it only gains 1-2 whp or 2-4 whp".

That's just stupid.

Now you are actually saying that RPI "is stooping low" to protect themselves. Really?

If you truely believe a 5-10 whp gain is a gimmick then I dont know what mods you consider to be real.
