Sorry Miguex but you and Ellicit are in the wrong here.
I agree with DRANGED and the others that RPI only posted info to help you and Ellicit understand that they put a lot of effort into make the right design for their scoops so as to not lose power. They didn't put anyone down for attempting a DIY but only provided insights on what they went through so that others are aware that they might be doing more harm than good without proper research/engineering/trial-and-error, whatever you want to call it.
And as for mchammer, I also know him on M5Board and whether or not you guys agree with his posts here, he only came on to defend a vendor and friend that he has a trusting relationship with in RPI and he does not work for RPI. So if Ellicit is accusing RPI of making up a fake account to argue on this thread then he's wrong and he should apologize. Whether he feels he needs to is a different story.
Grand Poobah has spoken. Admins, please close this thread.![Laughing](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/laughing.gif)

Ok, I say 50% and 50%. Like I always said. My scoops are made for FUN and LOOK regardless gains or not in which I really don't care. AGAIN I NEVER SAID ANY GAINS WITH MY DIY!
I understand RPI is a good company but I don't agree about some comments they posted on this thread.
RPIPower, Seriously my apologies to put you in the signature. I also hope your apologies also to put words on Diyers. We only are intended to have fun.
BTW Signature changed.
Dranged, Geneatals, mrfva and others, let's fight in other thread and I invite you drinks!

Hu. Ok. Cool. Thanks!
Still looks small
I guess it's not the size, it's how you use it? haha.
Still looks small

Haha, kinda. Most industrial/commercial fans are made to move high volume, but at low pressure/speeds. That's why you'll see gigantic 50"+ fans that move 30,000+ cfm, but they don't provide the wind speed necessary for dynos.
The ones that the dyno manufacturers recommend tend to be very high pressure high speed, but aren't necessarily huge diameter wise.
