@dexteryout you have right. I monted them today , everithing work fine, but i don' t see anything in the passanger mirror. It is there any possibility to change electrical motor, puddle led and electrochrome from the RHD mirror and mounted them on my mirror caps?

Hi all, i been wanting a power folding mirrors since i got my car 2 years ago and now i got couple of weeks off work so thinking to do this retrofit. First of all, as i read this thread, i understand that i have a door module as my car year is 2004. I also have full electric/memory seats and mirror tilts when reversing with heated and auto dimming as standard.

Now i have been doing some research to see if i can find a set of m5 mirrors and i did find couple but they are very expansive! I found this set of after-market and they look very tempting as they have the led's ect...

Will anyone that has done this retrofit can shed some light on the compatibility to fit them into my car? I am also looking for someone in london that can program them for me.

Many thanks in advance

I've done this on my 2004, with normal power folding mirrors (not M5). Cars with the start button have one 4 pin connecter that controls all functions of the mirror, cars without the push start button have 2 separate connectors, or 3 if you have auto dimming mirrors. The dimming functions needs an additional wire to be run from the rear view mirror to each door if you want that function - I haven't had time to do this yet.

I don't know if these are the ones with 2 connectors, but have you had a look at them? 2003-2009 BMW E60 5 Series Auto Folding Heating Foldable Mirrors RHD M5 Memory | eBay

I can program them. I've moved though so I'm in London occasionally as opposed to all the time...
