Ok thanks for that.

Looks like i may just leave it standard then as i don't really wish to start running wires around and pulling panels off to do it. Also spoke to BMW dealer today and they are refusing to even touch it if this has been done, although an indy has said that they will have a look to program but have never done it and are not too comfortable in carrying out the task.

Out of curiosity are you using Logic or the BMW software to carry out the programming as the Indy said he uses the BMW software and that i may need to find someone with the Logic software.

I have the Dynamic Xenons fitted to my E61 but think that was standard on the business edition along with the business nav and 19" wheels.

If you have memory seats, you already have the wires in the mirror. Do you already have autodim rear mirror?

I do have the auto dim rear view mirror but just have the standard leather interior without the memory function. They are electric but not memory.

Then you won't have wires going to the door for the dimming. I use the software BMW use in the factory, even dealers don't know how to use it. Autologic is mainly for independent garages as it works with several manufacturers' cars. There's more than one software available that can do it so that indy might not have the one to do folding mirrors. Haha, I figured BMW would refuse to touch it!

Have you bought the mirrors yet?

Would recommend to check the connector on your existing mirror. If the connector is with three pin then you already have the lin_bus wiring to the mirror, and you should be able to atleast get folding mirror without any wiring. Not completely sure if the autodim will work.

If it is four pin, then you need to be ready to do new wiring even for the folding feature to work.

If it's currently basic mirrors i.e. no puddle lights, no electric folding, no memory, no auto dim, just heating then it'll be the 4 wire mirrors.

Autodim will only work with the extra wiring from the RVM. I can't be bothered to do this really...

@Telski789: Does your car have seat memory? If not then you will need to do additional wiring.
