Hi all,
I've been reading this thread in the hope to find a solution.

My car is from 2005 and I bought sidemirror which originate also from a 2005 car.
The mirros I bought has LED lights.

I removed the trim to discover that my original mirror has 4 wires.
So anyone has some experience with this?
Thanks in advance.

The mirors I bought has only 3.

There is some sort of compatability list on the mirrors I bought and according to this list it should work on my 03-2005 car.

You may have bought 2005 mirrors but they won't work for you. They are post Sep 2005 mirrors and your car is pre Sep 2005. You need to get new mirrors or swap everything from the old mirrors into the new ones and then extend the LED lights into the plug with 6 pins. I can do this for you if you send me both sets.

Hey Guys,
6 months later...
I found e60 Sidemirrors with:
- autofolding
- puddle light
- auto dimming
Since these are from a 2004 car and my car is 03-2005 at least one connector should be fine (top right on the pic)

So how proceed from here:
Autodimming
From reading the boards I understood that autodimming is out of the question. Even the mighty Blood did not succeed (how is that even possible?)

Autofolding
Do I need the selector button (6951929) on my door, OR is it possible to enable this (by coding with NCS)?

I have 3 sets of wires now? Where do these go?
I am interested in the folding function. Puddle light would be nice, but are not a pre.

Your help is greatly appreciated

Rase I did figure out the auto dimming, on my car theres a twin comms line that has to go down to the KGM module, you dont have KGM module so I dont know how it would work for you.

So actuall i have the same situation as the topic starter.

Do i need another harness or just connecting 2 of the 3 connectors on the doormodules.
Then adding SA430 to the VO and code the modules with standard profile?

Hi,
I have a E60LCI which has memory seats, LED light on wing/side mirrors and auto tilt/curb funcitonality.
However they dont have auto dim/folding. I would very much love to have folding mirrors. Can anybody tell me what is needed to do the retrofit. Do I need to re-wire anything?

THanks a lot

Since you already have the puddle lights, rewiring the wing mirrors shouldn't be necessary. However, the folding function only came with autodim mirrors, included the rear view mirror, so you need to swap that one with one that have auto dim. This mirror needs some new wires.
