Battery was recently replaced so it should be in good condition. It's going to be a busy week so i plan on scheduling an appointment with the dealership for this next week to have the alternator checked out, thanks for the heads up Isaiah_Charles

I had exact same problem with my Velocity Booster. It's become faulty, the Sprint Booster. That's why it's shortcircuiting. You need to take it to the dealer to have the pedal wiring re-done, then do a diagnostic run on the pedal setting. If they're fine, all you need is a new Sprint Booster, if not, replace your pedal set which include re-wiring etc and sensor, THEN add in a new Sprint Booster.

I had my new Sprint Booster installed and it was fine.

Sorry guys but member Isaiah_Charles is correct and the alternator is most likely the cause of the problems. I had similar problems in the past (although not as drastic as mentioned above) and so I had my alternator replaced. Everything is back to normal. I think BMW charged me $1600 for the parts and labor but I could be a little off but it's definitely not a cheap job. Good luck OP.
