Has anyone with a 545 or 550 removed the 2 cylindrical resonators

It is pointless for you to have the RDSport dual exhaust. It's a muffler with tips. If you choose to go with straight pipes from the box resonator back, you can select custom tips from AAA exhaust. I guarantee you will love the sound of the straight pipes over the RDSport exhaust. I advise you to go to AAA and talk with them in person.

So the plan is :

#1 - Remove stock muffler, replace w/ straight pipes
#2 - Purchase tips from AAA muffler.
#3 - Keep all three resonators in place.

Does this sound right to what Torquey5 has done to obtain the sound you mentioned?

I would suggest an Eisemann exhaust, sounds close to an M5.
