It looks good but honestly without some type of discount, you wont get anyone to even look at their wallets.

$600 for speakers I understand, Im an audiophile but discount is discount and the markup in audio is huge.

Quite true. The cost markup is too high. They aren't even brand-name speakers which makes it somewhat worse. You have no idea what you're getting. The other thing is they make it sound like its "custom made" for your BMW. Well thats bullshit. You got small tweeters in front and rear, 6 1/2 speakers pretty much everywhere else and its all standard sizing. Very easy for you to walk into a store and buy the pairs yourself for way, WAY less money. The only benefit I see is that you don't have to attach the in-line clips since its done for you.

Actually, now I'm starting to get mad about it! I'll stop. =)

I had a chat with Halston at BSW and he said he can give all e60 members a 10% discount, and all their kits include free shipping. So basically - $590 less 10% = $531 shipped. For my part, still contemplating it but I'm not all that excited about tearing apart all the door panels. The gentleman email is rhp@bavsound.com if anyone is interested. Seem to be a pretty nice guy. And he did tell me that Brian does not work for BSW...just a happy customer.

This is also true as well. Mag Car Hifi, BB not to mention the thousands of independent install shops will have plenty of solutions for these cars and they discount.

10% is the standard industry discount. Not really good enough. We are talking group buy 10+ people. 20% would be more in line with that many people.

In this economy you cannot mess around as a retailer. Either you wake up and see whats goin on around you and reduce your prices or suffer the fate of many other small business that are hurting big time due to huge decline in sales on purely discretionary products. I'm an e-retailer and know first hand. BavSound, if you're reading this, make a move! Be bold! Create some energy and incentive! =)
