There is a place in Long Island called Unique Autosports that does amazing work. They do the cars for many of the celebrities and athletes. They also have their own show coming on the Speed Channel in February 2005. They can do any kind of customization to your car that you dream up. Check out their website-

If you want to stay in NYC then go to Ultrasmith(212)695-3342 on West 38th St between 10th and 11th Avenues. Also a very well know car customizer that has been around for a very long time. Hope that's helpful...
Both of these places are very experienced with all of the high end exotic cars and have stellar reputations, so tinting a BMW is cakewalk for them...

As you probably already know, any level of aftermarket tint you put on your car is considered illegal in NYC. If you tint your car out, make sure you stay away from the midtown tunnel-they have checkpoints there for tinted cars. Isn't it wonderful that the NYPD is allocating their resources to ticketing tinted cars rather than hunting down terrorists? I've gotten stopped numerous times there but usually drive away with just a warning. Now I just drive by them with my windows rolled down so they don't see it
