500 - 1000 bucks and you cant even take it to your hotel room and plan your trips. This provides the flexibility to go with any latest Nav systems that tickle your fancy.

Michael, kind of curious, but isn't that a bit far to reach if you have to access it while driving?

Wow...this looks great! I guess the only downfall is that you need to maintain a charge on the Garmin...otherwise you'll need the cig adapter to charge it up? I think there is another outlet under the glovebox, so running it from there would be another option.
I was looking at the Kuda mounts for a powered mounting option. But why spend the money when this works...i can use the extra cash to get the 5" Garmin.
Cheers

I went out and purchased the Garmin nuvi 1450LMT, I was gonna create something nifty to have it integrated somewhere into the dash.

I leave Best Buy open the package in the car and to my surprise this 5 inch Garmin fits perfectly right near the gear shift knob. Looks kinda cool actually!!! So if ya LCi owners don't got nav this a perfect fit doesn't move when accelerating and turning hard. Believe me I tried.

Look at the pics. (Was watching breaking bad when I was talking the pics)

Reason I say LCi owners is because I believer the area that the GPS is sitting in currently is a little different in non LCi E60s right?

Probably gonna wrap it in some sort of vinyl so it blends to the cars color better.

Actually I opened the dash up. Split the wires for the CIG lighter and ran the cable right behind the unit so it's always on.

With my head on headrest, fingertips are 4" from the nav screen. With a slight lean forward, I can rule!
