Thanks to ------ for lending me his 2007-2 Nav DVD. The first difference I noticed is this: Since my car is a 06, even with the latest software, when I input adresses with voice commands it always asked mo to SPELL the city and street. Now it asks me to SAY the city and street. This is a big help, because before I wouldnt use the voice command for nav for this reason...I am sure that there are a few differences with updated maps also.

That's interesting - I always thought the DVD only contained map/location data and not actually changes to the programming??

Now that you have tested it, does this mean you are going to go out and purchase the DVD so you are not using pirated and illegal software?

It's not modifying the program but it has instructions which tell the program what to look for. Yes, that's almost a distinction without difference but it is does not actually touch the software.

Let's not have that argument, I bet most of the people on here have some form of pirated software, music, films in their possession. I don't of course because like you say that is illegal
