I was saying above that mine took approximately one hour with an experienced shop. I watched the entire thing.
Perhaps the Xi model has more stuff to work around.

Best regards,
This shop has done suspension on 8 M5's (all M5board members). I'd say he's pretty experienced. Took him around 3 hours. I've had past cars worked on and it took about 3-4 as well. There's no way 1 guy can do all 4 struts in 1 hour. It's impossible (that inlcudes Lee Majors....The Bionic Man).

Maybe the difference is the M5 setup.

The only thing that needs to be done on the 530i is the removal of the wheels and the screws that hold the wheel assembly in place. After that point, the wheel assembly can be lowered, and the spring can be replaced. I had mine done at Wheel Boutique in Miami. They would never charge me only $250 if this were a 3-4 hour job. Some of those places in California charged around $150. They would lose money if it took 3-4 hours to earn $150.

The screws are fairly accessable. Perhaps the M5 is more complicated.
I am just reporting my actual experience standing at my car as they did the work.

If that's the case, this guy is in for quite a surprise when I stand there and he's done in 15-20 for each. I hope mine is just as easy.
