Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Dinan mufflers used to be nothing more than a cut open and modded BMW OE muffler. I guess that's OK, but, if you plan on keeping it forever, might make me think twice about the durability.

In that case I can take my muffler to a cardiac surgeon and have him perform an angioplasty.
