Even if it were true, which it isn't, a 9hp gain for a $2700 exhaust ins't much.
RPI has a GT Race Exhaust for $2882 and not only does it sound AWESOME you get a minimum of 18-20hp.

Check this thread out, this guy installed only the section 3 RPI exhaust and got 20hp. W

Using the wrong exhaust for the wrong model can cause a number of problems:
1. pipes don't match up, needing extra modifying to fit
2. can cause exhaust leaking
3. reduced pressure
4. loss of hp
5. melt your bumper
6. rub on your tire
7. and melt fixtures

Some cheaply made exhaust systems that are suppose to be made for specific models need extra modifications because of poor design.

Race Precision, Inc. (RPI) designs all parts, including exhaust systems, to fit each model specifically so that you will not have these issues. RPI works hard to provide high quality products for high performance vehicles.
