2005 530 is an M54 engine and you have the ESS Supercharger as an option. They have stage 1 and stage 2 options, but its expensive. Then again, its ESS so probably worth every dime. The issue with a 530 or any car like this is that the transmission A/T is set to handle up to like 300 ft/lbs of torque. The SS will exceed that limit easily and eventually cause your trans to go to shit.
Only thing you can logically do to a 530 and be safe about it is get an ESS software remap, RPI exhaust, scoop, new air filter, and thats about it. There's always the obvious stuff like change your sparks every 50k, good maintenance schedule, having the right wheels on (bad replicas and heavy wheels which makes your car way slower off the line). Bottom line is our cars aren't USA red light muscle cars. They are all-round great handling and linear accel, smooth, luxurious, etc.

Like the cars response to the RPM --Lower End, Mid Range and the Top End -- gas mileage etc
Also, I have heard that the BMW ECU keeps adjusting to your driving style. Experts say that a car driven slower for a couple of thousand miles dynos less HorsePower when compared to a car that has been revved. Do you think this smart\adaptive ECU will over write the map in someway?
