I am looking at a couple of different tire sizes to go with and am wondering if the overall diameter will cause any issues such as error messages.

My concern is the rear. Stock the overall diameter is 25.6

Tire option 1 is 25.8 which equals a 1.51% overall diameter difference from stock.

Tire option 2 is 26.3 which equals a 2.41% overall diameter difference from stock.

I read that it is best to stay under a 3% difference in overall diameter.

Based on that I should be good with either option? Is a 2.4% difference enough for the car to notice?

Thanks

You want to stick with 1.51%

Not sure about Bimmers but I know that with Porsche's if you exceed OD between Front & Rear more than 3% it'll disable your ABS among other things. I think this is throughout the German families.. Best to stay under 3% IMO.

Sweet thanks.....I think I will stay a little more on the conservative side and go with the 1.51% over tire this round
