Interesting. Just wondering, did the other three gaps also decrease, particularly the front driver side? I just can't imagine only the back gap decreases (or decreases the most) when a driver enters the car and the other three remain practically the same. The drivers weight is nearly in the middle of the vehicle so I assume the weight is distributed somewhat evenly throught the suspension but more concentrated on left side of the car.

Sorry didn't mean to say you were completely wrong but yup the other gaps decreased too, just not as much as the driver side front and rear. And my last car was an S2000 which is technically a front-mid engine layout so I think the driver had more of a weight affect on the rear suspension, at least judging by how much it dropped from driver weight compared to the front. Honestly I was shocked too, the driver side went from .5-1 finger gap between tire and fender to negative finger gaps if that makes any sense haha.
BTW to the OP, that is a nice and noticeable drop. I had four adults in mine and I still didn't rub, granted I was a little more cautious driving but not overly cautious like slowing down to 5 mph over uneven pavement. Just your avg driving.
