First post so pleassse be gentle.
Had my car for a few months now and starting to really enjoy it. What I would like to do is upgrade the MP3 radio to a Sat Nav but keeping the OEM look for the model year. I know that means fitting a LCI CCC Sat Nav module but to me I still want it to look OEM for model year.
Does anyone know what would be required to do this. I have the head unit but the wiring to the back differs slightly - does that mean that I have to buy an auxiliary loom? I already have Bluetooth, voice control and telephone prep so I believe the shark fin aerial is compatible with a Nav unit. Any help would be much appriechiated - Rug.

Would you mind posting a pic (or part number) of the unit you have? The main wiring should be exact with only an added connector for the fan and the gps antenna.

As far as what you need:

LCI-CCC (or CIC) head unit
8.8" Widescreen monitor
Dash panel to accommodate the different shaped head unit (find the part number at www.realoem.com)
And unless your car is pre-wired for navigation, you'll need a GPS antenna with a 'fakra' type connector (this can be acquired on eBay for cheap)
Then you'll need coding, this should be easy to source in the UK since so many people out there are active coders.

Don't bother buying a new iDrive controller, your current one will work fine with proper coding.

Welcome and good luck!
