e60 m5 instrument cluster

Has anybody tried to put an m5 instrument cluster in a non m e60? Does u think it will work? I found this on eBay but it?s too pricey but I bet I can find one cheaper.

Did you do a search? Someone attempted this mod and i thing it worked but they were recieving errors on the dash. ....Not 100% tho...GL

The problem is if the orange little screen displays the gear engaged : with SMG 1, 2, D1, D2 or with the steptronic M1, D and DS .

Ats, I'm waiting for calling from the technician of the dealer : he will call me when he will have there an M5 for service, so I'll run there to try to swap the clusters ...
Can't anybody here make the same thing on a 545i/550i SMG ?

Hey alexFW i looked at your youtube vids. i like your exhaust, do you have the m tech bumper or did u cut out one side of your bumper?

this is the exhaust i think im getting:

Nick should move his ass and bring the car to the dealer to encode the cluster, before to say it works .
