My point exactly! Can we get the straight scoop. Now Trinity wants to sell some red scoop. What the hell's a red scoop??? I don't mind spending $$$ on mods, but come on now.
The red scoop I am selling is in fact the RPI ones.

One suggestion since it hard to find two identical cars for testing RPI scoop and AFe intake.
Just take one car with stock airbox, run a vbox (gps-based datalogger) and run the comparison between scoop and intake from 60-120mph with auto-mode to avoid driver shifting error.

That is why we dyno the vehicles with the hoods open to allow for sufficient airflow under the hood.

Bump again....where is the aFe engineer to answer some of these questions and defend his product?

The difference is in the testing procedures. Some may think that you need to dyno/test with the hood open and some think testing with the hood open is inaccurate. RPi tests with the hood closed. AFE tests with the hood open.
w/ afe Hood closed = loss
w/ afe Hood open = gain
w/ stock box Hood closed = same
w/ stock box hood open = same
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........
The thing I find most amusing is that they claim its a "cold air" intake but its not getting any more cold air than the factory intake. Also, if they was so much cold air, why did AFE have to copy our scoop idea?

Well, now forget the dyno.. I want results from a real run or race. (at least 3-5 attempts).
Stock with KN filter vs AFE
Scoops/Stock vs AFE
