What should i get coded to have full cruise control working?
A few years ago i retrofited cruise control on my e60 530d - 2005, works fine until now when i updated whole car. So when i enabled cruise control, my car going on a constant speed but i dont see anynthing on cluster.
please help me

I have problem to retrofit cruise to e60 lci 525ia
I have install stalk and put $540 to fa, everything goes fine, but car says cruise control failure when I start a car, buttons and stalk work fine, I have watch it by inpa.
I have done many retrofits to 3 series bimmers without cluster change but is it truth to have to change it for this?
error code with cruise is can fault by dme-dsc-kombi.
next I will check is there pt can or not but does anybody know answer for problem?

Do you remember the coding you did for the cruise control to work. I have installed the stalk and the change of Instrument cluster. I can see the lever control work fine through icom. However, the cruise control does not seem to work at all.

Would appreciate your input.

anybody who are successful retrofit cc for e60 LCI please advise. I ínstalled stalk, replace cluster, add FA $540 to VO.
when I push cc stalk, it show on my HUD 409 instead of the real speed. It cannot work indeed.

 

I'll leave this information for anybody who was struggling as I was.
My car is E61 09/2005 preLCI cheap edition. It came without cup holders, cruise control (tempomat) and also no CC speed indicator on KOMBI. I installed basic CC stalk, updated VO/FA in CAS, LMA with $540 then empty coded KOMBI, SZL, DSC, CAS (probably not neccssary). But because the instrument cluster is missing the cruise control speed indicator, they disabled cruise control coding option as well and made it hidden. That's why you cannot code it the usual way and also the car is rejecting any inputs made on the stalk. BTW as somebody mentioned, you can use INPA to verify the stalk buttons and movements.

But there is still hope because it's possible to get it working albeit without the speed indicator on kombi. You can make the instrument cluster to think that it is equiped with speed indicator which as I read on some russian forum could be. It's lottery. What you have to do is change one value using Tool32. Search on the internet for "e60 cruise control c_c_lesen" or "e60 cruise control S544A retrofit". They will be talking about speed indicator on LCI cars, but it works on preLCI also, trust me. Just don't be alarmed when your hex values will be bit different as in those written in tutorial. Just to set the last bit to 1 and nothing more. Or as an alternative look for software Perfekt Toolbox 0.2b which was made for configuring e60 KOMBI.

Uhm what about an 2007 LCI with integrated Cruis Control from factory, the stalk works, the indicator goes up, but it does not lighten up, neither green or red. I had befor an 535d LCI and it worked perfectly... any ideeas?!
