Diversity antenna question

My Ride: 2005 BMW 525D M-SPORT // Grey // SB attached

hi all,

I have a 2005 525d sport. The locking distance is very poor now and radio signal is poor too. I have figured out I need to get a diversity antenna but apparently there are different flavours.

Can someone please confirm which exact part I will need?

With the options list below the image on REALOEM you should be able to figure out which one you need. Most of these are excluded by date, for others you may have to verify the frequency listed which seems to be associated with the options mentioned above the list.

Be sure to enter your vehicle date and/or VIN instead of using my link right away since I just entered a random 09/2005 build.

In case you're not sure after all just give your VIN to the parts dept. at your dealer and they'll come up with a partno. If it isn't compatible it's their fault...

Hello Nudda,

The frequency is imprinted on the back of your keys (at least that's been the case with all my sets).

Any luck?

before you change your's you may want to just remove it and clean the contacts.
