Dension Gateway 500 for a non mp3 capatable stereo

Im thinking about getting the Dension Gateway 500 for my car but my car cant play mp3s and I dont have a cd changer. Would the Dension work with my car and if it will what will I need to retrofit? Also does anyone know where I can get a Dension Gateway 500 at a good price and get it installed near the LA area or am I supposed to get it done at the dealer?

It will work but... according to Dension if your unit is not mp3 capable you will not be able to use the Gateway's UI (no text). In other words you will not be able to see the name of your songs but only numbers just like cd.
In thread user MTRHEAD, who already has BMW's i-pod interface (with text), mentioned that he will try to install Gateway 500 on his Business unit and see how this will work.

I've just noticed that you are from LA. USA spec car can retrofit mp3 with coding since are equipped with Professional radio. All you need is a trip to your SA and ask them to retrofit mp3 and CDC. After that you will be able to install Gateway 500 by yourself.
