Hi guys, been reading this. and I'm in the same position. I was told CCC units from 03/2005 onwards had MP3 enabled. My CCC manufactured date was 06/2005.

I installed the Dension and used all manner of combinations for the dip switch but nothing.

But during this trial and error situation, I stumbled across something weird.

Plug your ipod/phone in, switch to service mode so the cd player and changer are working. Then whilst iphone playing, switch back to dension and voila. It starts the playing through speakers. The CCC is totally confused at this point, as all the CD1-5 is shaded out and it switches to FM, but the music is coming from your iphone??!! Go figure.

I'm thinking if it works like that, then what am I doing wrong. Everything is connected as per dension instructions. Must be MP3 enablement is needed.
You might need the IPOD retrofit software as I do, that might sort it, but I'm no expert, only had the car for 2 days

Guys..

I have a 2004 530D (with Satnav Pro) and had the following done:
- Dension Gateway 500;
- BTA1500; and
- AVR

Brilliant with even video!

Give Manoj a call in Hounslow on 0208 570 9999. They can do all the fitting and programming at a very reasonable price. No need for stealer rip off!

Jay2jay that's a very generous offer and one I would like to take up. By the way I live in Hounslow and frequent Richmond often. Let me know when your set up. I'm also glad you got the bluetooth as I want to get this done as well.

Delwarulislam I'll definately give u a shout if I see u. My E60 isn't as distinctive as yours so you probably would never know if you passed me. Give me a shout anyway. If the person looks at u funny, it ain't me!
Lol arite..

I rang Manoj but he never got back to me with pricing. He did say the programming is done by someone they call in so it probably won't be that flexible on price.

Anyway. I ended up going to B&W chiptune in Hounslow (where i had my remap) and I was first person they coded for Dension. The first visit, they figured I needed a MOST ring part so I had to order that from BMW. Went back for coding on Fri and Dension and bluetooth works a charm. All songs show on idrive. I had followed 3b on the instructions and had first two dip switches up and then the rest down.
