Yikes - 399 Euros! That's $US 483. Moreover, Dension seems to have lost its old dealer. No US dealer has been listed on their corporate website in the past week or so.
I called their old US Support Number and the guy who answered I spoke of the vaporware we all have come to know and love. Then he referred me to the DICE Electronics site ( http://www.diceelectronics.com/ipod_...ation_most.htm ) which promises a MOST compatible system for integrating the iPod. Availability - Unknown! (More Vapor?)

Perhaps I will have to settle for an Aux Out (resistor and capacitor snipped) and a Monster Cable charger. I?m off on a long trip in late July and can?t travel without good iPod sounds.

I will go for the gateway 500 you can hook up PS2, Xbox (360) other mp3s or anything with usb...for me that sounds good oh yeah and FULL IPOD integration so I could wait 6 months, can wait a bit more (June), not happy but what can I do, also guys just know that BMW already changed the wiring two-three times since 2005 so not easy to come out w a solution that fits all our need
but I do not wanna B their lawyer so... will see.

The real soluiton would be for BMW to come thru with a retrofit kit (a la the UK rumor) with integration, but as you say the wiring has been changed two-three times that could be a problem.
