Default Dash cam 70mai A500S in E60

Hi, im want install 70mai A500S Dash cam on my E60, i was try to search about installation this camera in this model but i find nothing...
i have doubts about the hardware kit for parking surveillance, in E60 we have one module on battery, which protect battery against too low voltage. This camera has its own module for protect battery and i have doubts about correct work these systems thogether. Maybe one of you was install this system ? If yes to which cables i should connect the hardware kit ?

Thx!

I don't think there will be a problem. If there is, you'll receive an iDrive notification.

I don't have that camera, but I have some Wheel Witness one or something like that. Anyway, it also has its own battery in it. I just tapped into the wires going to the Homelink garage door opener wires that are part of my rear view mirror as they only have power when the ignition is on (that way if someone breaks into your car they can't open your garage doors without turning on your car first). It's working like a charm and perfectly turns the camera on and off for me automatically. Mine is suction cup mounted behind the rear view mirror where I can't see it. Also came with sticky pads to adhere to the windshield but I haven't bothered until I get my cracked windshield replaced.

I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I just wanted to ask if anyone has tried hardwiring the A500S into the fuse box using a dash cam hardwire kit on their E60. I'm curious about which fuses you tapped into and if the parking mode feature works reliably. I’m looking into doing this soon and want to avoid any battery drain issues.

I had a similar issue with ACC and radar interference. Switched to a different cam and the problem disappeared. Found this helpful resource with solid options and info: https://www.insta360.com/blog/tips/b...-for-cars.html. They've got cams that don’t mess with car sensors and include some parking features too. Might be worth checking if the wiring or placement of your A500s could be interfering with the sensors.
