I finally got around to run the wires from the int. mirror -> KGM pin #44 & #45 behind the dash and now I got my M5 mirror to dim too
... kinda of cool when it activates since my M5 mirror has frame-less glass so around the edge stay as is and the rest inside the middle darken.
Tkx so much for the info BLooD![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)

Which pins did you use on the mirror?

TIP:
All my trace files are read and saved in a folder on my Windows OS. I allow Windows to index that folder for search functions. When I browse the folder, I enter a term like "DAY" or "TAG" in the search window and get a list of every trace file that contains that entry.

Originally I thought those 2 wires related for each mirror, and only tested one at a time and didn't work. Turned out from WDS & various info they related:
GL BLooD!
Code:
Int. Mirror pin #5 -> KGM pin #44 Int. Mirror pin #4 -> KGM pin #45

Are the pins empty in the KGM connector? and which connector is it on the module, also how do you take apart the mirror housing or is it the mirror itself?

Yes mine were empty in the KGM plug, it was the right bundle plug when you face the mounted module.
I didn't take apart any of my mirrors. I just ran 3 wires thru the left pillar for the power, ground & LM and ran 2 wires thru the right pillar to the KGM and all those 5 (plus 2 for the alarm clown nose) goes into a 10 slot (2 rows of 5) plug on the base of the int. mirror.
The int. mirror that I got from the donor car itself has a full featured one that has garage remote, dim, & compass.

I didn't split open the int. mirror housing, just split the base cover (on the windshield) and there's that 10 slot plug tucked in where the metal arm pivot/rotate.
Or you mean apart off the windshield? To take it off the windshield I just rotated the metal arm of the int. mirror 'bout 45 deg. counter clockwise to release it.
