There is an insert for the USB connector which is used in the same place that your flashlight currently sits. I decided to just let my port hang in the glove box as I never did get around to purchasing the USB insert mount. I can't remember what the part number for this bracket it but I'm sure its hidden with this thread somewhere.
If you are referring to the iDrive contoller swap, then I do not believe additional coding is required although the wiring harness and conductor pinout will have to be changed. If you are refering to your CIC, then coding is definately required. It may be best that you ask Patryk's advice on this.
Cheers

found an answer myself. remove wires 1 2 4 5 from wide connector and stick them into small 4 pin (button) connector in order 1 2 3 4 seal the rest plug new CIC controller and you are done

There is a solution. One wire from the CIC has to be connected to another 12V source that is switched with the lights. Most commonly people use the buttons on the lock button/hazard button switch between the air vents in the middle of the das.

I would assume the lights must be switched on differently or someone would have done that already
I do not have an LCI model to test on though, so I'm not all that familiar with it. I just remember seeing people do the fix in other CIC retrofit threads (and this one too I think)

I understand that's what year responded bimmerretrofit
Good day Francesco,
I apologize but we cannot email any instructions or technic description before you become our customer and place an order.
As for the light pelase do not worry. We have sold over a thousand CIC kits for E6x series and I can ensure you that lights fix can be done by you. It is our unique method which our engineers developed for all E6x series use.
Regarding the LCI climate panel - if you sure that your vehicle already have LCI panel then you do not need to worry and you will not need to change panel.
Only if your vehicle comes with pre-LCI panel then you need to change it if you want to have all functions working with iDrive.
Thank you,
Kate Ivanova
