I want to increase the power for my 530i(air filter ,chiptuning, exhaust)
Any ideas how to do it (is there anyone who has a chiptuning on 530i)

Since I have the same engine as you I wanted to do the same, after quiet heavy and detailed research I have concluded that there is no point for this.
Simply by doing all the mods possible (air filter, exhaust...) the power increase will be max 5HPs which is hardly noticeable. For instance I have talked to Hamman directly to get such honest answers.
The only way to go is the Hamman engine modification (re-boor the cylinders to 3.2 liter size) and you will get about 30HPS more and about 50Nm torque more, but the tricky part is that this is all "just" for 15000 USD

Has anyone considered this:

http://www.esstuning.com/

They already have a kit for the E60 520i (2.2l) claiming 275hp. If they produce one for the 525i, I would be very interested.

I did a chip tuning for my car. Not worth the money IMO.

It's Simple, Sell your car and buy the 545i!!

Seriously

Watch this site for updates, they have the most for the 5 Series that I have found.

I was talking to my buddy who owns a BMW race team and drives as well (SCCA Pro Racing Speed World Challenge Touring Car Championship). They just got a bunch of new 330i cars for next year's season. I asked him about the engine stuff they were looking at, he said that with the new engines they're getting the big power increases with camshafts. He said to sit tight - in a few months they should know everything you need to know to do some tweaking.

Good point about just trading up to a 545/550. The money it would take to do a mod like that would be better spent on the trade. Also, I have a feeling that resale would suffer immeasurably on a car like the 5. It is more normal to find a modded 3 series, and buyers probably are younger and not as put off by a modded car in the second-hand market. I would expect the used 5 series market to be less forgiving of a heavily modded car.
