How do I remove the filter without damaging the charcoal filter? Just in case I want to un-do the mod. I was thinking about trying to pry it loose but it look like it would put pry marks on the airbox. Thanks.

what ? you can just pick up the Filter and take it out without touching the charcoal filter man. If you mean how to take out C filter then all u have to do is prey it out, easy and give a bit pressure. Come on now aint nobody gona take the air filter out, looking for a scratch marks on ur filter box and say ...eh dude u got a big ass scratch mark right here

My 06 had the charcoal filter, I removed it, really didn't notice a difference. I did get a tick up in MGP, maybe .5

I'm not sure this makes much of a difference if any. I took mine out drove it all of last wkd and I can't say that I noticed any thing so I put it back on.

would you feel it with the 2.5 engine and the added weight of xdrive? Compared with maybe a 535-550 with bigger engine and less power loss through the drivetrain?

I think it might depend on what config you have
