Please, brave jmcaiado, can you take a picture of the dash without this panel?
I recommend the next time when anybody gets this ethusiastic with their car, that others can see 'into' the car by uncovering the inside, show us also a picture of the 'hole'. You can see the wire routing and devices hidden away that are not in the diagrams.

It's just a spare part i got yesterday. I'm planing drilling a hole in it to place my V1 Concealled Display.
Some time ago someone posted a pic of an E60 with that part detached. I'm going to search for that pic and post it here.
