This is a question geared towards anyone that started with standard suspension and lowered the car with either OEM or aftermarket springs.
I have a set of OEM sports, and I'm about to order some Bilstein sports for the E60. IIRC, bilstein fronts have bump stops built in, and they recommend you NOT reinstall the bumpstops in the front. I'm not sure about the rears.
so....what did everyone do as far as bumpstops are concerned? trim? remove completely front and rear? remove from front only, trim the rear? leave them alone and reinstall?
searched this forum and others, couldn't really find a clear answer.
thanks in advance.

I installed my Bilstein Sports (along with the Eibach prokit springs)without the bump stops, all four of them. Never has there been an issue with my shocks bottoming out, only the occasional fender rub up front. If you do decide to go with lowered spring, be mindful of the fact that the fronts will settle just a tad bit lower than when initially installed. Good luck
