best intake setup would be the RPI scoop and an aftermarket filter, most common BMC. we have the scoops in stock

Yeah, well I got two of the three components right. Looks like I won't need the third one. Is it cold air intakes that are bad or open air, or are those the same thing? I thought K&N made a CAI and it wasn't a DCI.

Right, but BMS has a filter as well, not just the OAI. That's what I'm asking about.

really, they have a filter? Did not know that, knew T was working on one but did not know he put one out already. It's not on the burger tuning site. Then the BMS filter should be fine...as long as you stick to the stock box

Ass. It was an airbox, not a filter. http://www.burgertuning.com/bmsintake.html

Also, scratch the bumper and screwed the 3M clear bra on it so might need a new bumper. I decided Umnitza was the way to go, and found this: http://www.umnitza.com/umnitza-5series-fro...per-p-5649.html Says fits E60 M5s. I'm ok with my 535, right? Or is there a special one I need to look for? Material good quality?

me an ass or you an ass

the link you posted to the burgertuning.com site is still a single cone/open air intake set-up...it will still result in a heat soak and performance loss.....although member My535i is running that single open intake set-up. With that set, you have to replace your stock box with it.....

why not go with the bumper from Trinity Autosport? Same material as that rep M5 bumper you found on umnitza's site...but better price and CS from Trinity

https://5series.net/forums/index.php...opic=77071&hl=

the link you provided is not for the bumper, just the splitter....so you would have to purchase their rep bumper as well...

sorry to hear about your bumper damage...

"Ass" as in place of saying "shit." Not calling anyone anything.

And again, ass, for me putting up a splitter. I dunno what I'm doing anymore.

I've heard people prefer Umnitza over anything else, which is why I was looking at Umnitza's site. Is TA's $349 bumper the best bang for the buck? It's from MStyle I think, but the Mtec is at $600 or so.
