Uh, the bumper is the primary area that is protected by clear bra....what do you mean by bumper cover?
If that installer can't even do the bumper, then find someone else.

For reference, maybe these pics will help -

That's kinda what I thought. Thanks for the info. I may have found a qualified installer in St. Cloud, MN called SRC Auto Salon. Anyone had experience with this company? http://www.srcautosalon.com/index.html

Thanks everyone for the information. I think I will go with 3M and find out about the next generation stuff. I will post information I get for on this thread for eveyone.

OK. Does anyone have any recommendations for 3m clear bra installers in chicago or suburbs?

I just got the clear bra kit for my Mini from Automotive Protection Solutions, www.apseast.com, on the east coast. They did my husband's BMW, too. Not sure which film they use, but it looks a lot better than the 3M did on my Audi.

Umm a question here...i will be getting 3M from my dealer...and my baby has been ard 3 wks old but i havent got time to go back to the dealer and have them apply the clear bra...will it matter if i apply the clear bra not quite immediately after it's delivered as long as no rock chips hit it ?

Oh and another thing...when they apply clear bra...do they give the car a wash first...just making sure since i dun wan dirt to be stuck in the clear bra after they've applied it...

they're supposed to detail the areas that you're wrapping before putting it on.

Try Body-Skins out of Elgin area. They are on web. Ask for Rick and tell him Brian from downstate Lacon suggested him. He uses the 3m product X pel, and drove 100 miles to install mine 2 months ago. I have M body kit and I think it ran about $650.00, travel time included. His prices, and films available are on his website.
