I am happy to hear of your success. If you get a chance, please try both 5th and 6ths gear between, say, 1200 and 2200 RPM. I chose these gears and RPM range because the Step likes to put you in 6th at low RPM in D mode. Thanks much if you get around to the test.

I just put my B&B on last week and think it sounds great. Yeah at lower rev's you do have a resonance, but the tone through the whole cycle makes up for it. Guess I am just one of those people that likes to feel the car when I drive.

If you do the BB, be prepared for a drone sound between 1000 and 2300 rpm. It sounds great above and below those levels.

Where can you get the supersprint for the e60?
Check out www.bmpdesign.com or www.turnermotorsport.com

My only problem was the resonance. It was fun when the service people would crank the car in the service staging area when moving it forward or whatever. The staging area is a large cavernous building, and my car's exhaust note will fill the area in idle. The car sounded very radical. M5's, in the same area, sound puny in comparison.

You can also get the SuperSprint from GMP Performance www.gmpperformance.com. I worked with Matt there to get my wheels.

I am running the 3 litre six, so that might make a difference in the resonance also. Because I have noticed that I don't get a ton of resonance unless I am being lazy and have it stuck in a real high gear and am trying to gas it. Once I kick it down a couple of pegs it purrrs right up and blend perfect with the motor.

Znod - After reading about vibration stories with B&B, I steered clear of them and went with Dinan after my SA promised me it would not disappoint. I can't say I've tested it with rigor you suggest above, nonetheless, I've been quite happy with it and have not heard any obnoxious resonance in the low rpms bands (I've had it since April). My second choice was a Remus.
Just got the Remus installed, after waiting for 45 days. Anyway, much, much better than the B&B. There is a slight drone, but not bad at all. It passed the wife test. Here
