I just installed a Billy Boat Tri-Flow exhaust on my 2007 530. The sound is great when you get on it and get up to 70. However, the sound on the low end 1500-2200 rpm, when you really pull, is too loud. It almost seems like there is a vibration. Today is the first time with a passenger in the back seat and he said it was pretty loud. Oh yeah, he owns a Harley. Is that common with this exhaust?

Thank you. I am going to swap it out for a Remus. I heard the Remus is considerably more quiet.

That is EXACTLY the reason why I removed my B&B from my 545i. See this post----->Click Here
If you get the Remus let me know if it has any of that resonant frequency noise and vibration in that RPM range. I would be very interested in your opinion because you have experienced the B&B noise/vibration in person and would know if the Remus also has it or not, whereas someone who has only had the Remus on their car may not know what we are talking about.........Let us know.

I sure will. I bought the exhaust from Bavarian Autosport. They will only charge a nominal restocking fee. I thought that was reasonable. The Remus is on back order until September.

I have never touted my Remus that highly, but that doesn't mean that I am in any way dissatisfied with the sound. It has never bothered my wife and that's saying a lot. When I step down on it as I did once today, it speaks loud enough wo wiping out the rest of traffic or calling the cops.

I have come to the conclusion that to me the exhaust tone is much, much more important than the volume of the sound. If it had the right tone but was only slightly louder than stock then it would be ideal for me......and yes no resonance please.
