I recommend the RSi's.
Even as RF's they are really, really quiet and not hard at all.
This goes for 225/50 17".

The Nokians are the best tire I've driven out there yet. I use them all the time to drive up to ski resort here in Colorado. The tires work great in the no gaurd rails twisty hair pin turns 1000ft drops off the sides of the roads driving conditions.
EDIT: I just saw in the second post you don't run studs, was looking at the pic. Anyhow....

When I lived in Colorado for college (Boulder), many students ran studded tires on their cars. It's amazing how well studded tires work in blizzard-like conditions. However, it's also amazing how quickly the studs disappear if you don't change the tires and keep them on when driving on dry roads.

I tried to get the RSi's but the saleman told me the H4's had better grip? Have you tried both?
The 4's is a old model and sold only with spikes over here as a cheaper, old version.
Hakkapeliitta 5's with spikes as the studdless RSi's** are now the currant and the best Nokian tire products!
** The tires are made in Finland and are Euro priced. Since the dollar is so weak, the prices may be high over there.
BUT DO NOT BUY OLD TIRES! Very important is, that the tires are fresh.
A 2 year old "new tire" is not nearly as good as a under half year one.
Markings are to be found on each tire. See Google.
