Anyone had any experience of this product?
I have used VAG-COM on my Audi, but not used a similar product for my BM.
Any experience shared appreciated!

I to have VAG-COM but I dont think there is anything like it for BMWs. Normal OBD2 readers just read OBD2 engine codes and dont allow for anything to be changed(except the service light). Rosstech did look at doing a BMW-COM but nothing seemed to come of that.
What is it exactly that you want to do with it? I am in process of trying to put something together that will allow me to view and clear fault codes and my main objective which is to data log rpm, timing, and boost pressure/map sensor on my 535i. I hope to actually get somewhere within the next week or so.
I have one of these: http://www.canobd2.com/Products/Tools.aspx
Nice PC interface and web support. They are valuable tools. I have saved much more than the original cost by resetting non-recurring problems on kids and friends cars. The best use yet was in diagnosing a misfire on my son's truck. It reported the specific cylinder which turned out to have a faulty spark plug. BTW, works on the e60 just fine. OBD2 is a standard, so BMW supports it, however, there are limitations. Visit the web site above to see the manufacturer specific codes for your model.

I agree for just diagnostics and code clearing a hand held like that is the best bet. Vag-com is actually software that runs on Windows and allows you to do MUCH more on VW/Audi cars like change settings on certain things, data log (record) sensor data for performance tuning and more.
