haha whats the debate? The sc puts more WHEELhp down than a 535 has at the crank, and nearly as much whp as a 550i has at the crank
Let's not forget that 535s and 550s can be modded as well

I finally got my AA Stage 2 Supercharger installed today!

I ordered the supercharger kit straight from Active Autowerke on July 27th, 2009 and received the package from them on August 28th. THE VERY NEXT DAY i ran over to Road Race Technologies, a BMW specialty tuner shop to install it. There was problem after problem because the kit was made for a e46 330 with the same engine as mine, but little did AA know, under the hood the two are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. RRT did a great job installing the supercharger on my car. The biggest problem was that the intercooler was much wider than my radiator so custom tubing and hosing had to be put on. The next problem was that my Air Flow Meter that comes with E60's is built in the intake, but the intake had to be removed. So RRT custom routed tubing from e36's and e46's to make this work. Then they found out that the 3 series had a 6 pin plug while the e60 had a 5 pin plug so they inserted a dummy pin to keep it from shooting errors. Now the only option that RRT gave me was to wait until the part came in, so they are keeping me updated and im going back wed. to get everything finalized. THEY ARE GREAT! They always kept me updated!

Problems:

Now when i start my engine the rpm shoot up to 2500 and then down to 500 back and forth but the guys at RRT said that its the car reteaching itself since the DME was reflashed and modified by AA. It does this everytime I am at a stoplight or in other words in idle. They said it will eventually go away and I really hope it does.

AND HERE IS THE GRAND FINALE!!!!!!!!!!

I WILL SEE THE DYNO RESULTS WHEN THE IDLE PROBLEM RESOLVES AND I WILL POST ASAP!
PICTURES!
Congrats!

are you his number one cheerleader or what? I think you've replied more to this thread than the OP...
R you serious? wow....I thought u were a respected member on the boards, great post!

If you must know, I've been friends with the OP since freshman year of High school. I advised him on nearly all of the mods on his car and it is because of me he bought a BMW in the first place. I am very good friend's with the OP and have been helping him every step of the way with his mods.

Point being is that a modded 535 and 550 will walk all over his modded 530.
So now, he's back at square-1. IMHO, money would've been better spent
upgrading to an M5.

Jashy, let us know how the numbers turn up. Can wait to see 'em -enjoy!

I know you guys are skeptical and I will be more than happy to share the dyno results, he helped me thought out the whole process. I did claim that my car can beat them but there is only one way to find out, either race or dyno. In my area there arnt many 535's that would be willing to do a "friendly" so ill go the dyno route.

Well I know my modded 530i is uncomparable to the M5 but look at it this way. My car bone stock with 56,000 miles is worth no more than 24,000 + 10,000 that i spend for the mod. Thats $34,000. I would have to put AT LEAST ANOTHER $10k down to get an M5. We are talking about an additional 10k here at least. I wouldnt want an M5 that is out of warranty or close to it because you cant get extended warranty on those i dont think
