Hi guys, just picked up my new car and love it. However I cant get the AUX In port to play audio, so I hope that the usual help will be forthcoming from the collective on this...

The Aux In is fitted, the I drive screen shows the AUX in option along the top so it looks like all is well, however I cant get it to play back any audio. Any ideas, is it possible that the dealer hasnt finished the install properly, or does the SW need to "enabled" in some way. Hi have tried two different cables and MP3 players.

What dya think??

Hi,

I had AUX retrofitted. I didn't have sound either immediately because dealer had mixed the wires and did not test the system ... after second visit to the dealer it started to work....

Check p.6 of the install instructions--they need to reposition the wires on the connector--I've read where dealers forgot to do this and it doesn't work. They also need to program the car, but if you see the aux input in iDrive, I assume they did it.
