Does anyone know if the 82 11 0 149 389 part kit for the E46 works for the E60? Dealer is ready to install and has the part. I've asked twice with both responses saying that the computer is showing this part for the '04 530i. They have put them in before, but only in the 3 series. I have already gathered the notes in the various threads with the instructions and personal experiences of the instructions being not quite right or clear for the E60.
Just hoping its not going to be a wasted afternoon. Thanks!

Glad to be here! Just picked up the car Thursday (replacing a GS400) and very anxious to get my ipod back in business.
Looking at the specific instructions for the 502 part, the e60 connector looks like the second or option "B" connector of the three at http://forums.e60.net/index.php?act=...e=post&id=3826
I know for sure that the 389 part for the E46 is an angled connector at the rear - looks like the first connector. Did anyone at least see their connector-if the diagrams are correct, the dealer must be wrong.

Thanks, been lurking a week or so and finally got around to signing in. I'm dying for the aux input for my E60. I have a Treo 650 phone that I also use as an MP3 player but I have a pre 3/04 production so no Bluetooth right now. I'm using a Monster FM Transmitter which works OK but the sound should be much cleaner with the aux input.

My SO CAl Dealer told me they should be receive the AUX input part for the E60 by Jan 15. I'd order mine as early as November 15 2004.
I can't wait !!!!
