I have the standard HI-fi 10 speaker system. NO Logic 7. However I would want to get Logic 7 capability so I'm looking into the JBL MS-8
I plan on getting the following hardware:
- JBL-MS8
20W X 8@ 4 Ohms
30W X 8@ 2 Ohms
- Rainbow SLC 210.25 NG 4" front
50W min (80W) 4 Ohm
- Rainbow 8" W200 X-Plain Floor sub
20-100W 4 Ohm
- OEM Center channel speaker
2 Ohm
For the amps, I'm debating between:
- JL XD600/6
60 RMS X6@ 4 Ohm
90 RMS X6@ 2 Ohm
OR
- Kenwood XR-4S
120 RMS X4@ 4 Ohm
150 RMS X4@ 2 Ohm
In the end, I plan on connecting the OEM Center and OEM Rear speakers (2 Ohms) to the MS-8 and the rest of the speakers ( 4 Ohm Rainbows) to the XD600 or XR-4S.
questions:
1. Can you combine 2 Ohm speakers with 4 Ohm speakers on the same amp?
2. Would the JL XD600 be a better match for Logic 7 sound since it is closer in RMS to the JBL MS-8 or it doesn't matter and get the Kenwood XR-4S with more power for fronts and floor subs.
BTW, I would like to thank Nelson29 and Technic for answering and helping me with all my questions so far.
