One thing to remember is music cd-players dont lik ethe new high speed cd-r's. They dont read the new ink very well
Best is to buy "Music CD-R" which are a bit more expensive unfortunately, and then burn them at a slow speed ( up to 12X speed ). They should then easily work in any cd-player.
The Music CD-R's use the old slow speed ink which is more compapble with music cd players

[/quote]I'll second E60Speed reply. Been using CD-Rs for music for years with no issues at all. Since I worked for many years away from my residence, I duplicated nearly 700 CDs for my use while my wife kept originals at home. I rarely, if ever had a store bought CD in my auto CD players.
