Very exciting, can't wait for it to be ready for install.
Can you also show a pictures of video clip playing from your iphone/ipod?
How much?

As I asked earlier, help with install? I live in Livermore but I can come to you in sfo or any where else....
thanks

I'll be working on "video streaming" from iPhone today ... The price will be in 400-500 range.

I live in San Ramon and can assist you with installation.

Sorry if I missed the answer to this, but do you need NAV package for this to work?

You can connect it to an external display . It will work with Factory Display or any other displays.

So its under 500 for everything? I dont need to purchase any media gateway or special interface cables or anything right? How hard is this going to be to install, is it something you need a BMW master mechanic for, or can an old car stereo install guy do it . Interesting product from the sounds of it!

There will be two types of modules. One for 2009+ cars and another for 2006+ cars. I would think it will work on 2004+ cars as well, but can't be 100% sure without testing it.

When did e60 LCI came out ? As far as I know they did some changes in 2008
The 2010 model year of the e60 that started production in March of this year has the new hard drive based idrive.

Will this camera setup work on the new idrive version or just the older one?

Anymore info on cost? Pics of the Kit? Installation difficulty? etc.

Thanks,

Tom

The price of the kit is $485 + shipping. It will include everything you need to make rear camera work. Any car-audio shop will be able to install the kit on your car. I will do my best to include DIY guide for the 5-series. For now I have DIY only for E90/E92.

Thanks.

If the new iDrive looks like on the picture below than it should work.

Thanks.
