There is a DIY from several years ago on here. when I did mine, I recall there were two cables. one to the controller and the other went to the menu button. The DIY directs you to remove four wires or so from the small connector and replace them with four wires from the large connector. then you will connect the small connector to the new controller as it only has one small receiver. The remaining four wires I taped and tucked away. Then I had to update using WINKFP. All worked well! I believe the DIY might be under the CIC retro.

Im saving my pennies to do a CIC upgrade, but until then, anyone know if this will work with M-ASK? Can it be updated/coded the same way that CCC/CIC can?

Yes it will work with MASK. Obviously, the buttons for the NAV will not work but the others will.

Hey guys, just joined up and already I'm looking for a little help if poss......I have attempted this retrofit into my car, for some reason I just can't get the controller to do anything....even with the correct repinning Of the 4 pin connector, it will light up fine but refuse to move onscreen and none of the shortcuts work....

I'm sure my ccc is latest version, it has the silver colour background (if that means anything) can someone confirm the correct old-new pin locations and perhaps advise so I can get this working

Silver background means you have the 2007 software at least. Does not mean this is the latest one. Unless your pins/controller are faulty, then the ccc does not have the latest software.

I have yet to attempt the mod. Been working on several other projects as well as my girls car.
