I obviously mean quad (tip) exhaust. I don't believe I've ever seen a full quad exhaust on anything other than an aircraft.
In another thread awhile back, someone was talking about not being a "true quad" exhaust... which is impossible like you said lol

Really? I dont feel any lose of power.... My stock 645ci vs 335i i lost by a car length. When I raced again after the magnaflow exhaust I was neck n neck with the same car, same driver. I also did a KN drop in filter...
Did you take out the resonators? Do a xpipe? Change the piping size?

I stoke with Magnaflow yesterday, they are making a specific exhaust for the 545i, it is still in testing, they said it may be out within the next month. Magnaflow for 545i

As for your loss in HP, there's so much variables involved to even begin speculating. If you can measure the cfm from your stock exhaust (@ max rpm) compared your new exhaust setup, then we can start talking about flow and pressurization. From a bird's eye view, the stock muffs. are chambered and the magnas are preforated straight throughs. You may appear to have more flow, lowering the pressurization inside your exhaust system, and reducing the scavaging effects . . . resulting in a slight decrease in power.
