I'll repeat some of my older research here on V8 chip tuning. It lists web sites and I know several of tehm already have 4.8l (x50) products available. You are looking at similar gains over the 360HP so roughly in the 380/380 arena and possibly a little more.
Shhhh..... You shouldn't have told the 550 owners that. Now, I don't have any chance to sneak up on them with my soon-to-be-remapped debadged 545. They would've though I was a debadged 525/530 and easily smoke me. J/king!

I say, rather than take me on (I won't bite, will not race another 545/550), go find an e550 and smoke their a$$ with your remapped 550. Just be sure to stay away from the AMG models (e55, e63, CLS55) or you'll be smoked.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but has anyone had any experience with Upsolute chiptuning. After reading over the chart, looks like they come through with some pretty good HP gains for a reasonable price. Plus, their North American Headquarters are here in Charlotte, NC where I live. Any feedback would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

There are a few folks here that have gone with Upsolute. Do a search for "upsolute." Many others though are patiently waiting for Dinan to release their remapping. I wasn't going to wait, but if it will be out within a couple of months I guess I'll get back in the queue.

The very first performance mod is removing your spare wheel in the trunk. Replace all wheels with light weight wheels. This already save you ~50lbs+

So what happens when your tires blow out or if you get a nail in your tire? Call BMW Assist or AAA?

I was hoping to finish my Dinan mods so I can outrun some 550s but it looks like I should just throw away my car and get an M5....

K, that was a little drastic. I love my 545i. Hope she didn't hear my thoughts and turn on me...
